The old feeling

Finally my blog - my once lost hobby - finds me signing in. Officially its been a long long time ago, since I made a proper post here. Ive been trying to put some dummy posts occasionally. Thank God, that blogspot shares the gmail password-yet I would have forgotten it long back.
I cannot help it but I am getting this awful, scary , what-so-ever feeling that I am growing older. Once you get this feel, its very tough to get rid of it. It keeps lingering in your mind- like the itch that bothers you about your one single white hair and the constant doubt that you have not zipped your pants. Salting this wound are the changes that are taking place around me - Every friend complaining about his/her/my tummy, exponentially increased number of "Annas" that I receive these days, my first mobile that I bought long back - now lying totally battered,college and school friends getting married, witnessing the death of things like Orkut, Yahoo, Zunes,IE etc....when things around you are getting outdated-Does that mean we too are?
I know I would hear a "No" - loud and clear from many of you.The louder you are-the older you are.There is no denying to this fact. I am wickedly happy that I am not the only one growing old. To see a bigger tummy or a more rapidly receding hair line in friends - Wow its an awesome feeling. It takes me back to my college days.
I should not sound so gloomy after all. Its been just a 24 year journey. Lots more mileage left.I am still the youngest in my office. I just found a new job, I am resuming my sport activities, I still can cycle a lot more than 20Kms, I still can lift the full weights in my gym ,it still doesnt look odd when I wear a shorts and I still look like a school boy when I shave . Lol the last one was a little too far fetched. Never mind :P
When I write this post-seated opposite to me is a man- probably older than me by 5 years. Damn - I am still young :) Am happy and the fact that I am happy does makes me a wee bit worried . 874a88c0233c7760b1a9752b83761e30ef716f4cc444dcfa44

Its been almost a year since I joined my job and it was high time to resume my interest in games.Be it online or outdoor ,I had really put a curtain on them.So I decided to explore the web for online gaming sites.Thats when I found this realy interesting site.BEing a great fan of the game of billiards,this was ultimate fun for me.

I am really impressed and so were my friends.

The translation of my poem

Its really a happy feeling to get your poem translated to other languages.My first poetry attempt in Tamil was translated to English.The translator is a person whom you all love and I adore him to a great extent.Will reveal his name later.My attempts of rhyming and few places of philosophy that I tried in my native language might be missing though.

Now to the translation

A garden and some dew drops

Those drops on the roses glitter in your eyes as forms of beauty .Beneath your feet are the rest which have fallen in the wrong place.Even man is the same-falling and rising are the part of life
Its ,where and when of your fall that speaks of YOU even after your times.

The real YOU is in the way you rise up from the ashes.Mohandas who fell in a platform stood up as Gandhi.Narendran who fell in a beach stood up as Vivekananda.Edison who fell a thousand times stood up as the father of electricity.If they had not,pages of history would have been a lot different.When you fall and rise back,u rewrite a page in the history.

He who touches the clouds from an aeroplane is a man.The great man is the one who leaps from where he stands to the clouds.It was the fall of a meteor that triggered the origin of life
Seeds not only fall ,they also get buried to rise up as mighty trees.Its not just the sweets that make a complete feast-both the sweet n the sour are needed.Even life is a feast.

When you admire your face in the mirror you fail to notice the shadow behind .Life's the same.In the smile of your victory there is some one's defeat and vice versa.When some one talented emerges you taste your defeat.Grow your talents in a way that you can never be defeated.

Even before the first drop of tears due to your losses touch the ground ,you must have climbed up to the next step in your attempts.There are thousand others to brood over loses.Atleast in this you are not a one in thousand.When you lose rejoice over the fact that you have found some one to win over.

'Isnt she beautiful?','I think this is the time da..','I must do it now or it will be too late','When are you going to propose da?'.....these are a few from the never ending list of the love bitten dialogues Im getting to hear very frequently these days...
With our college life coming to an end,the people around be seem to be panicking around to find a match..there are normal ones like me though..but otherwise the list of desparates seems to be on a rise around me.
One of my friends whom I expected to be a saint in a few days came up with his love story and needless to say everyone of us were taken by surprise.This guy who used to talk about electronics,projects,gadgets and books now talks tirelessly about this girl and the confusions in his mind for hours together...and invariably he starts and ends with a 'Tell me what to do da..."...
There are other interesting characters in my friends circle as well...one guy who has been having a crush on a nurse for the past 4 years and now after completing his college is now planning to visit all hospitals around the city to find her...and an another boy who actually called up and spoke to a girl's mother thinking that he is speaking to his lady love..

Love is a wonderful thing.
You never have to take it away
From one person to give it to another.
There's always more than enough to go around.

and my friend has understood this in practice by proposing to 5 girls and waiting for a response from atleast one..
Love seems to make people intelligent too..one guy actually asked me to guess the name of his girl...the clues were the first ,third and last letters of her name...very difficult to guess unless you understand the fact that shes my classmate and her name is a 5 letter word...Everything in India has an action component....I have now witnessed atleast 3 fights for the sake of girls.Am sure in another few days it would be the time for "Im committed da","i miss her very much da" etc etc....
Love is like a rumor, Everyone talks about it,But no one truly knows the cause.
I ve started wondering what makes people so crazy about someone in their life..making them forget everything else.
