The old feeling

Finally my blog - my once lost hobby - finds me signing in. Officially its been a long long time ago, since I made a proper post here. Ive been trying to put some dummy posts occasionally. Thank God, that blogspot shares the gmail password-yet I would have forgotten it long back.
I cannot help it but I am getting this awful, scary , what-so-ever feeling that I am growing older. Once you get this feel, its very tough to get rid of it. It keeps lingering in your mind- like the itch that bothers you about your one single white hair and the constant doubt that you have not zipped your pants. Salting this wound are the changes that are taking place around me - Every friend complaining about his/her/my tummy, exponentially increased number of "Annas" that I receive these days, my first mobile that I bought long back - now lying totally battered,college and school friends getting married, witnessing the death of things like Orkut, Yahoo, Zunes,IE etc....when things around you are getting outdated-Does that mean we too are?
I know I would hear a "No" - loud and clear from many of you.The louder you are-the older you are.There is no denying to this fact. I am wickedly happy that I am not the only one growing old. To see a bigger tummy or a more rapidly receding hair line in friends - Wow its an awesome feeling. It takes me back to my college days.
I should not sound so gloomy after all. Its been just a 24 year journey. Lots more mileage left.I am still the youngest in my office. I just found a new job, I am resuming my sport activities, I still can cycle a lot more than 20Kms, I still can lift the full weights in my gym ,it still doesnt look odd when I wear a shorts and I still look like a school boy when I shave . Lol the last one was a little too far fetched. Never mind :P

Yet Another Sachin Record - Sachin slams 200

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar added yet another feather to his cap when he became the first batsman to cross the 200-run mark in an ODI at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior today on the 24th February 2010. Sachin achieved the unique landmark when he ran a single off Langeveldt of South Africa in the second one-dayer of the ongoing three-match series.


Sachin's 200 came off 147 balls, which include 25 fours and 3 sixes.
The master surpassed the previous highest individual score made by Pakistan's Saeed Anwar (194 against India in 1997) and Charles Coventry of Zimbabwe (194 not out against Bangladesh in 1999).

Tendulkar started his innings aggressively and made a quick-fire 37-ball fifty before finally completing his century in 90 balls. Sachin extended his lead for the record of most number of centuries to 17 as Ricky Ponting lies in the second place with 29 centuries.

Tendulkar continued his record breaking form as he had slammed his 46th Test ton in the final match of the longer version of the game against the Proteas earlier.

After losing Virender Sehwag (9) early in the innings, Tendulkar put on 194-run partnership with Dinesh Karthik (79 off 85 balls), who slammed his fourth ODI fifty, against South Africa.

Earlier, India skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat against South Africa in the second One-dayer of the three match series.

The right smell

One thing that anyone will agree to is the fact that to get your choice of perfume right is the most difficult task to deal with.Its the same in my case too.I had a number of trails before my final choice of sandalwood cologne.This was after a series of trials on varieties like coconut ,eu d cologne,rose etc .The scent of sandalwood was the most refreshing to me.Though rose was a pleasant choice,it never did last as long as sandalwood did.
